what is a good wine for cheese?
I have gotten some variety of cheeses, mostly aged. What would be a good wine to compliment the cheese?

I’ve found that Chateauneuf de Pape goes AMAZINGLY well with cheeses of just about any kind.
Chianti Classico goes well with most cheeses.
Red & White
This took 1 minute to find.

It would depend on the types of cheese you pair them with, and what your tastes are. There is no right or wrong anwser, as long as you like the type of wine you are drinking and you think it compliments the food you are eating than its ok. They suggest red with beef and white with seafoods but I like blush. It seems to go great with most foods.
Red wine is normally best with cheese, I like a nice full bodied Claret : ))
varies by taste and type of cheese
strong cheeses go well with stronger wines
smoother/lighter cheeses go well with lighter wines
most wine & cheese parties have a variety of both cheeses and wines.
if its for just you, go with the wine you like.
No, dear, that’s not how it works.
You buy the wine, THEN you choose a cheese to go w/ it, not the other way around.
Your description tells us nothing. Variety/aged?

From the book "What to Drink with what You Eat", I would recommend Sauvignon Blanc as a white and Shiraz as a red.
