What is the best value you have found in a Cabernet Sauvignon?
I'm looking for Cabernet's and other dry reds rated 90 pts or better by Wine Spectator for and under.
Oh, and I don't care how the French classify their wine, I'm interested in the wine, not the labeling.

Go to a local store that specializes in wine. Do not go to a supermarket.
The local wine store will have deals on great wines that you might not have heard of. Don't choose the upity wine store. Look for a more mom and pop feel. They will have the best prices and most likey have wine spectator rating and reviewss on the shelves
Two Buck Chuck…our favorite Charles Schwab cabernet from Trader Joe's.
It's not a Cab, but try Big House Red. 90Points and its a wonderful blend of six different grapes….sells for around $11 per bottle…
Also from Raymond…try the R Collection Cab….

I like Robert Mondavi Private Selection. About $12.00 bottle
Hi, I know you ask for under $50. but if you really like Cabernet Sauvignon you should try this one:
Clarendon Hills 2003 from Australia 94 points $ 56.00
You'll enjoy it! I did. Plus I have great memories. or
2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County
Rated 90 points-Robert Parker Jr. This one is good too you can buy two bottles for $50. it has an aroma of almonds, mocha, it has an elegant round tannin to the palate that surround layers of red fruits and dried herb. You'll feel the blackberries and smoke remain throughout the end. It's a well balanced and Highly structured. as you said. You're interested in the wine no the labeling.
