What kind of dessert wine would my MIL like?
Were getting together with our in-laws for New year’s eve. Me and my MIL both really like wine. She told me to bring a wine for us to drink. We both enjoy really, really sweet red dessert wines. I’m bringing one of my favorite wines (Alba Vineyards, blueberry wine), but I also want to bring something new to try. What would we like?
I really like:
Arbor Mist Pinot Noir mixed berry
Alba Vineyards Blueberry wine
I’ve tried Eiswein but didn’t enjoy it because I don’t like the taste of white wine. I’ve tried Port but found the alcohol flavor to be too strong.
I don’t know much about wine so any suggestions for a super sweet red wine would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If you could name a specific wine with brand it would be greatly appreciated.

If you go the Riesling route, make sure that it is labeled as a "late harvest Riesling" otherwise it might not be as sweet as you like.
If you want a true dessert wine, though, consider a Sauternes. these wines contain a lot of Brix (natural grape sugars) because the grapes are left on the vine as long as possible, longer than chardonnays, sauvignon blancs, Rieslings, chenin blancs, pretty much all whites. They are quite sweet and therefore designated for dessert pairings.
Well for Desert Wine try any German Riesling….They are very good………
Let me suggest you some……..
1) Polka Dot Riesling
2) Relax Riesling
Or Sauvignon Blank from NZ
1) Monkey Bay
2) Starborough
She will love it trust me…………
