What message should I put on our personalized wine bottles?
For our wedding, we’re having home-made bottles of wine with personalized labels as favors for our guests. They’ll be sitting on the table at their places when they arrive at the reception.
What should we have as our personal message? It can only be one line.
I’ve been thinking of something like, "We’re glad you’re here!"
Any better ideas?
Thanks for your input!
here’s a link to the label we’ll be using.
also, the wine won’t be consumed at the wedding…it’s as a favor for the guests to take home.

all because two people fell in love
Well, as the guy who used to make those labels at a wine-shop, I can tell you the most popular things.
First, most people like it a lot when the labels say the kind of wine in very small letters at the bottom. It helps a custom label look a little more professional.
Also, do you plan to use a picture of the two of you? That’s always nice, but not all shops can do colour custom labels. Black and white also looks nice for a photo, but it really depends on the labels you’ve bought to customize.
Most people just write, for example,
Mark and Linda
March 30, 2010
But there’s lots of other little tag lines I’ve used: joined together forever, in love always, yadda yadda yadda. Go read some cheap online poetry if you just want a simple one-liner. Lovey-dovey if you catch my drift.
Don’t speak to your guests with the labels, though (glad you’re here). You’re really excited about these labels (and the wine!) but your guests aren’t going to notice. They’re going to be drinking. The worst wedding wine I’ve had to do was for an overzealous bride who had to have everything "right". Just have some fun, and remember that this is the alcohol! People will be way more concerned with the contents of the bottle than the label.
As you enjoy this, think back on this special day.
