Which white wine should I use in cheese fondue?
I found a recipe for cheese fondue that requires a dry white wine. Which white wine should I use?

I’m thinking under if I’m just going to cook with it.

something dry and cheap… go to the liquor store and see what they have that is dry and cheap… they’ll be glad to help you out.
the character of the varietal you chose will be mostly lost in the fondue, residual sugar will come through (thats why it needs to be dry), also the acidity of the wine will remain, but won’t be significant enough to impact the final product.
A wine which you would personally drink. As you failed to give a price range, so I cannot recommend anything.

clear that using white wine
so it was not sticky
and not to cool as soon .
whatever your heart desires. Any dry or semi dry will be just fine. But get a real good cheese too.
Anything will do, as long as it’s dry, but I find the German ones best. Maybe that’s because I like them best for just drinking and am most likely to have one in the house already. As Ray said above, the quality of the cheese will have more effect on the taste and texture than the wine will.
