Wine Stomping in Napa or Sonoma Valley?
I'll be in napa valley in december. I was wondering if there was a vineyard that allows guests to crush wine with their feet. I know that the harvest season is in September/October, but is december too late in the year? I've heard of the Sonoma harvest festival, but that is also in September.

usually harvest is done by late october. there are few of my winery clients that may have some grapes left to crush at thanksgiving.
With 99% certainty I can tell you there is no grape stomping in December. Majority of the harvest fesitvals happen in october. Incidentally the Sonoma one was in end of september into early october.
As november approaches, there is not a lot of visible activity in the wineries. And will remain that way until March when the mustard starts to grow and color the valley in a wash of yellow flowers. T
No self-respecting winery would allow tourists do that. However, at the San Gennaro Italian Festival in San Francisco they have a grape stomping contest, but was just at the end of September! (I won the contest one year with my size 12s!)
